Our applications fall into three catories:
Desktop
High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. has created stand alone desktop GIS applications that allow our clients to quickly utilize the power of GIS with little to no GIS knowledge required. Custom applications can range from creating stand-alone GIS applications to modifying and/or enhancing existing desktop GIS applications such as ArcGIS.
Mobile
Field staff needs access to GIS data and with mobile devices this data can be at their fingertips when in the field.
Field staff also needs to collect data and with custom programming this process can be made very easy. We have developed solutions that automate much of the data collection process, interact with GPS units, and provide data entry forms. With these easy to use programs, field staff can perform the tasks of collecting data after minimal training and with little knowledge of GIS and GPS software.
Intranet/Internet
Utilizing Internet mapping technology provides the basis for disseminating information such as: documents, scanned images, and mapping services via the Internet. This technology enables users to integrate local data sources for display, query, and analysis in an easy-to-use Web browser. Internet and Intranet applications provide a central site for organizations to access their data quickly and efficiently.

A robust spatial database is the core of a successful GIS. High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. works with our clients to implement a customized database solution that fits their needs. We can customize a database solution using the latest industry standard spatial databases where appropriate.
High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. works with a variety of tools for database design and development. With ESRI products we commonly work with shapefiles and geodatabases. Our staff also has experience with enterprise databases using such products as ArcSDE, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.

GIS data creation requires an accurate, quality-controlled process. High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. recognizes the need for advanced data creation, GPS collection, and conversion processes. We have the ability to create data using ESRI's suite of GIS software products. Our GIS technicians and managers provide data with integrity through our quality assurance processes. Utilizing our in-house Trimble units, High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. is capable of providing GPS collection. For higher accuracy data collection we have a relationship with Orbitech Inc., a full service land survey company. High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. also has the skill and tools needed to convert GPS and Cad datasets.

Training is an important element to GIS operations and implementation. High Desert Geo-Technologies, Inc. is pleased to offer custom training solutions. Classes are hands-on, with approximately 60% of the time spent doing student exercises. Most exercises use data from real projects and are organized to follow normal working practices in order to simulate real-world situations. The courses are designed to help the student understand the core functions and organization of the software so students can become quickly productive in the use of these programs.
Most classes include time at the end for working on your own projects with the instructors help; feel free to bring in your own data and questions.
